National Night Out - Volunteer Opportunity
What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
National Night Out started with turning on your porch light and putting blue bulbs in porch lights to show our local forces that we see the good they are doing for our communities. Now it is a nationwide series of events, held in public parks and community spaces for everyone to meet their local officers. It is typically in August, but as you can see from our calendar, there are many dates available.
This year, the FBI Cincinnati Field Office will participate at multiple locations throughout its area of responsibility. Alongside FBI Special Agents and professional staff, FBICCAAA volunteers will help welcome community members, answer questions, share information about the FBI's mission, and engage visitors through educational materials and interactive activities.
