Coats4Children

Coats4Children, listed by the Columbus Foundation, collects brand new coats or monetary donations to purchase coats for distribution all year long. They work with schools (nurses, guidance counselors, etc.), children's organizations such as Directions for Youth or the Boys & Girls Clubs, and places of worship of all faiths (47 partnerships). The schools or organizations identify children in need of a coat. Parents/guardians are contacted by phone or letter for permission for their child to receive a coat. Coats can be picked up at the school, or they can give approval for their child to be given the coat to wear home.

Coats4Children embraces the diversity of every child's face and background and will continue to expand their community partnerships and volunteer network to reflect this diversity.

Donations are collected year-round at the Church on Sundays & before and after services. Donors are asked to put new coats in bags along with their name and contact information for acknowledgement. Monetary donations can be made through our donations page, online at the organization's website, or through the Columbus Foundation.
